Male identification: A small, very dainty powder-coloured damselfly which perches with its wings held flat. The thorax has a very narrow antehumeral stripe and is otherwise boldy marked below. The rear half of the abdomen has a very narrow yellow line along its side. The eyes appear to usually be dark above a horizontal mid-line and pale below. |

Female identification: Females are assumed to be similarly marked to males with a proportionately shorter and thicker abdomen |

Similar species: Very similar to A. intermedius and possibly does not occur in Victoria. Though it may vary with age and sex, pruinescence generally covers only the top of the thorax in eboracus as opposed to the whole of the body in intermedius . |

Behaviour: Commonly perches with wings held flat. Hovers weakly in vegetation at the margins of waterbodies. |

Distribution: Alpine areas. Recorded at altitudes above 1400m |
